Kismet the Cat needs a home

Kismet was surrendered by a couple that could no longer handle his aggressive behavior or give him his meds correctly. He is a very high energy guy that loves toys, tall cat trees, jumping off his cat shelves, and of course being extremely cuddly and loving. He currently has 4 other younger cats in his foster house and gets along with them amazingly. His medication has to be given to him everyday at the same time or you can tell the difference very quickly in his attitude. Even on his correct dosage of medication given at the same time everyday he can be very moody. You will get the ok on his time for cuddles and pets, but he does not appreciate being forced into them and you will be bit or scratched if you try anything funny.
When we first brought Kismet into our home he was very ornery and had to be segregated in his own room for over a week. He growled, hissed, bit, and scratched at whomever got to close. We slowly introduced our cats into his room and that also took time, but I promise he would thrive with another younger cat in the home if not more. Soft blankets are his favorite, wet food, and uses the litter box like a champ!
We will continue to update Kismet's profile as we learn more and he settles into a routine at his foster home.
